Crazy mass hero Ravi Teja has arrived with his new movie Anjaneyulu.he has paired up with his favorite heroine Nayantara. This is a Ravi Teja Type of movie.the expectations have been high.

Anjaneyulu is a action romantic based movie in which, Ravi Teja (Anjaneyulu) portraying as a journalist of "HMTV channel" where as Anjali (Nayantara) working in Airtel Company, One fine day they meet each other and became friends after some days they come to know that they are in love. Rest of the story is about how these two lovers struggled for their marriage.

Ravi’s show all the way and his energetic performance keeps the tempo high. He has become versatile with his expressions and his emotions are quite good. The screen presence of Ravi Teja has been growing strong with each passing movie of his Career.

Nayantara : She didn’t have much to do in this one but then there is not much of oomph show from her end, Nayan could have checked the hair stylist and the make up artistes, she looked quite dull in this one. Not much for her to do in terms of performance. Radio Mirchi Sowmya’s dubbing for Nayantara is perfectly in sync and elevated the role.

Other Artistist :

Brahmanandam made his presence felt, Jeeva was neat, Srinivas Reddy was good, Jayaprakash Reddy was regular, Sonu Sood flaunted his muscles but not much scope to perform for him. M S Narayana provided few laughs, Nasser was elegant, Prakashraj was good, Raja Ravindra was normal, the others did their bit to contribute.

The film has got nothing new to offer but one can see traces of Puri Jagannadh in it, though the formula is old, it was narrated keeping the audience engaged. The first half just whizzes past leaving no idle moment. The second half slows down due to the sentiment and melodrama angle and unwanted songs but overall, the film has got enough ingredients to take it to the success mark.

Puri’s influence is totally carried on Parasuram in this film. He has all energies to match the requirements of a star director. He proved with this film that he can handle big heroes, big budget, big comedy and big action. And there are influences of Shankar on his too, especially while dealing with some funeral scenes in second half. After Kick, again Anjaneyulu has something for masses and action-comedy film lovers.

As a part of his profession, Anjaneyulu changes his name as Pavan and enters as sleeping cell in the group of some anti social elements. There is a connection between his profession and personal life from then. He discovers that the accident was intentional and it is due to the big and dreaded don Bada (sonu) along with his gang of government officials and police. The suspense is revealed in second half.Anjaneyulu decides to teach them a lesson and How he deals with that issue forms rest of the story line.

  5. None of the songs are catchy.
  6. Cinematography by Ravindra Babu is okay.

The rest of the story is about to know the relation between the Kandasamy (Mallanna) as a CBI officer and as a Super-Hero/Lord Kandasamy (Mallanna) and the reason why he is doing these all, in detail.

Peformance

Vikram has done a brilliant and stunning performance in both the roles as a CBI officer as well as a Super-Hero. He also done a veriety of unique getups that mesmerize the viewers. He once again proves himself as a great actor as he really deservers for it. He is definitely going to bag many awards for his role in the film. Shriya Saran, playing a role with grey shades, has done here part well in this film. On her new looks, she achieved her ’size-zero’ figure in the film which were an added point to her glamour and smile.

Producer Kalaipuli S. Dhanu spent lavishly to make this film with a huge budget of Rs. 32 Crores just keeping faith on the Director Susi Ganesan and the actor Vikram. Both the director and the actor are really deserved for it and has proved it too. The film is shaped out in extraordinary style and it will set a new definition for family entertainment. The film is picturised with a massive CGI works and to stun the audience, the reason why the film got delayed to hit the screen.
Indeed, the film is amazingly visualised to watch added with the color shades filled in different scenes. Movinstilz did a good job in VFX works. Art work by Thotta Tharani was fabulous.

Musical score by Devi Sri Prasad are good as the songs are already tops the chart. Some of the songs were picturized really well.Mallanna is definitely a delight to watch. Watch it in theatre with great visual effects, especially in multiplexes.

Minus Points in Mallanna Movie
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  1. As a movie Mallanna lost its tempo in the first half looks OK.
  2. Sushi Ganeshan failed in presenting the content.
  3. shriya is a bad asset for the movie.
  4. The film came up with a good hype but it was a poor and weak presentation
  5. no comedy for audience
  6. second half to actually engage the audience
  7. Run time of the movie is heavy 3 hours 10 minutes
  8. heavy editing effects have put strain on eyes.
  9. Shriya’s designer outfits expose more of her chiseled body than they hide.
  10. But the background score is just a cacophony of drums and an aural ordeal.

Movie NAME : Josh
Producer: Dil Raju
Director: Vasu Varma
Cast: Naga Chaitanya, Karthika, Sneha Ullal, Prakash Raj, JD Chakravarthy, Brahmanandam, SunilMusic: Sandeep Choutha
Rating: 3.25/5

Summary

This is an unaltered product from the factory of "Dil" Raju and Akkineni family. A thin story line, lack of clarity and poor

direction has taken away the "josh" from the movie. The debut launch of "Naga Chaitanya" may disappoint Nagarjuna fans and

will put lot of pressure on Nagarjuna to come up with another flick to prove Naga Chatanya.

The quality of the movie is far away from previous movies made by Venkateswara creations. One way the movie can be seen as

message oriented subject but fails to deliver the intended message.

Story

Hero "Sathya" (Naga Chaitanya ) concentrates on enjoyment while studying degree in a college. He was a good student in

school days but gets into enjoyment mode after joining college and spoils his life. He thinks enjoyment means roaming, bikes, smoking and pubs. But his college principal observes the capability of Sathya and tries to advise him when ever he gets a chance. But Sathya never listens to him. The college principal role is played by Prakash Raj.

Sathya realizes the value of life after a tragic incident in his life and decides to discontinue studies and he moves to Hyderabad to do some job. But he encounters students gangs studying in MGM college, Hyderabad and decides to get into college life again to bring some change in the students who are getting into trouble by a politician JD Annayya. JD Annayya role is played by JD Chakravarthy.

The story ends with some high drama scenes where students realize what they are losing and teach a lesson to JD Annayya.

Performance

The acting of Naga Chaitanya is not upto the expectations and there is a lot to improve. Heroine Karthika (her name is Vidya in the movie) played a teacher role. She is fond of going to college but her brother did not allow her to go to college because of safety. The romantic scenes between hero and heroine are better. Naga Chaitanya acted better in emotional scenes.

Karthika has lot of energy like her mother and she has good expressions also. She is very tall and has better chances to shine in Telugu and Tamil movies. Her dances are OK.

The screen play and direction are very weak and Naga Chaitanya paid price for acting in a movie made by a new director. Lack of experience of the director clearly observed in the first half of the movie.

Few songs are good but songs may not add much value to the movie. Rain fight is good. The mind game or psychological game shown in "Dhee" movie also the main point taken for the narration of this movie. Comedy is not that good. Not many hilarious scenes are there in the movie. Back ground music is not so good.

Conclusion:
The film is not a high voltage action treat like ’Shiva’ but then there is enough pace in the film to keep the audience busy.

While the first half goes off smoothly without any hitches, the second half gets dragged a bit due to the melodrama but the climax was okay. Overall, the film is not one to leave a strong impact but it sure has a strong message for the college going and the student generation. The technical values were good and the performances were neat. This will be a profit grosser at the box office.

Kalavaramaye Madilo Review

Movie Review : Kalavaramaye Madilo
Vebtoday Rating : 2.5/5
Banner : Mohan Media Creations
Cast : Swathi, Kamal Kamaraju, Tanikella Bharani, Vikram Gokhale and Others
Music Director : Sarath
Cinematography : Rajendra
Producer: Mohan Vadlapatla
Director: Satish Kashetty
Released Date: July 17, 2009

It hurts when certain movies flop. Kalavaramaayae Madhilo is one such movie. Among the three films released today this was the one that was expected to set the ball rolling for the cause of small films. Instead director Satish Kasetty imagined himself to be a la-Viswanath and ended up messing the second half and thereby the movie itself.

Story

Kalavaramaayae Madhilo is the story of Shreya (Colors Swathi) and how she aspires to fulfil her lifetime ambition of singing for music composer A.R. Rehman. Shreya is a charming girl who on the surface seems to have everything. A good job in an audit firm, a boy friend Seenu (Kamal Kama Raju) and a dream to pursue; are all hers. But it is that dream (of singing for A.R. rehman) that gives her sleepless nights. To further her cause she joins as a singer (for a small band) in a hotel.

Not being a trained singer she lives by her wits and manages to live up to the demands of the guests who frequent the hotel. But one guest, a classical singer (an over the top performance by Vikram Gokhale) finds fault with her singing and chides her for lowering the quality of singing. A hurt Swathi takes that remark as a challenge and approaches Rao to train her in the finer aspects of singing and music. From thereon the story is about how Shreya over comes the challenges and realizes her dream of singing with the music maestro.

Presentation

The religion of the director who happens to be the story writer of the movie seems to be ‘Vishwanathism’ as far as this film is concerned. To elaborate, the elements in the films Sagarasangamam, Sankarabharanam, Sruthi Layalu and Swarna Kamalam would role on minds’ screen while watching this film. And there is nothing wrong and such attempt deserves praises. But it’s not just the story that becomes a movie. Proper screenplay, scene conviction and free flow are required to hook the audiences.

And moreover, such films need a right proportion of humor to balance the equation. The attempt of director to bring pathos in climax is laudable but the blend missed the goal. The choice of artistes is not so impressive. And the director didn’t do any attempt to balance the equation of emotions those are being delivered in the movie.First half goes little better with the humor and trademark style of Colors Swathy. But the second half mars the enthusiasm levels of audiences with heaviness in scenes and narration.

Lack of timing while delivering dialogues and giving expressions hindered the free flow in narration.Apart from this, the directors should know that there is huge talent within known sources and need not run for artistes like Vikram Gokhale. On a whole it’s an old concoction attempted to serve with newness but couldn’t reach the expectation.Attempt of director can be appreciated but pity on would-be box office result.

Conclusion

The film is a touch with the classical hits like ’Sankarabharanam’ and others but then it failed to have that sort of class and mettle. While the first half of the movie was okay with the light comedy, the second half was not upto the mark and had lot of confused scenes. The culmination of the plot was okay and though it was melodramatic, the effect was not felt properly on the viewers. The flaw lied on the screenplay and there was not much comedy which played spoilsport. This might fizzle out at the box office in no time.

Gopi Gopika Godavari Review

Movie:Gopi Gopika Godavari
Vebtoday:2.25/5
Producer: Valluripalli Ramesh
Banner: Maharshi Cinema
Screenplay and direction: Vamsi.
Cast: Venu Thottempudi, Kamalini Mukherjee, Pradeep Shakti, Krishna Bhagawan, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Jeeva, Kalyan, Pilla Prasad, Jayalalitha, Geetanjali, Sana
Dialogues: Padala Siva Subrahmanyam
Music: Chakri
Lyrics: Ramajogaiah Sastry
Cinematography: Loki B Goud
Editing: Baswa Paidireddy
Presents: Anandi Arts

Story:

A love story with typical turns on the lines of Godavari.Director Vamsi, who gave big hits like Sitara, Anveshana, Manchu Pallaki, Ladies’ Tailor and Avunu Valliddaru Ishtapaddaru, is almost running into bad time with successive failures like Donga Ramudu and Party, Koncham Touchlo Vunte Chebutanu and Anumanaspadam at the Box Office. In order to regain his past glory, Vamsi has brought out another film silently with not so famous actors, again with his favourite Godavari and the boats in the backdrop. The entire film shooting was done in a low profile.

The movement of the film is exactly in Vamsi’s style and the film is good to watch but the slow running of the flick may not suit the taste of the present generation audiences.
Gopika (Kamalini) is a doctor. She runs a floating hospital on river Godavari. The boat tours the entire coast of the river and serves the patients. The running of the hospital is being taken care of and funded by an NGO. One Shyam (Kalyan), who has completed his MS in the US learns about the hospital and reaches India to run a similar service near Srisailam.

Shyam loses his heart at first sight to Gopika. But the latter refuses his marriage proposal. At this juncture, Gopika accidentally meets Gopi (Venu) over phone, which was forgotten by her close friend. Soon Gopika comes to know from Gopi that her close friend committed suicide. Gopika’s friendship with Gopi continues over phone and they keep talking hours together. Soon they fall in love.

Their plans to meet each other fail due to some circumstances. Gopika’s mother (Jayalalitha) who believed that Gopika is talking to Shyam till then learns that it was not Shyam but Gopi. She wants to see Gopi. Unfortunately, Gopi, who was coming to meet Gopika, loses his memory after being attacked by some goons. Gopika saves him and treats him not knowing that he is Gopi and she names him Prabhu. Does Gopi regains memory? Who does Gopika marries at the end? Watch out!

Presentation:

The director has come up with an interesting storyline and though the narrative was good, the presentation could have been a lot better. The dialogues are witty, the script was alright, the screenplay could have been smoother. Songs were pleasant and worth taking home but the background score was a bit annoying in few scenes. Cinematography was a setback as it failed to capture the locales. Editing was stiff.

Costumes and art department were excellent. Venu has come up with a regular performance but he could have been more natural at few places, Kamalini looked sensuous as ever but there was inconsistency in her make up. She could have been more expressive at few points. Pradeep Shakti and others contributed in their own way, Krishna Bhagawan was hilarious, Kondavalasa was okay. The others had their own presence in the movie.

Conclusion:

The film takes off on a good note and there is enough comedy though it is a bit spicy. While the first half goes on a comedy and light hearted manner, the second half gets into seriousness and sentiment. The climax was abrupt and it must be said that there were too many random shots that not only caused visual disturbance but also took away the feel.

Overall, the film is good in parts and it could have been a lot better if there was a proper continuity and length in the scenes. This will appeal to the family audience and those who are looking at tender romances.
